Audi has launched the facelifted A6 in
India in a unique online launch at a
starting price of Rs 49.5 lakh, ex-
showroom Delhi. The A6 Sedan takes on
the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class,
BMW 5 Series and Jaguar XF in the mid-
size premium Luxury sedan segment.
The major update the facelifted A6 gets,
like plenty of updated Audis in the recent
past, is the Matrix LED headlight system.
These will be part of the standard
equipment on the A6 facelift as the
Company has launched only the one top
end 35TDI variant with the update. The
taillamps also get split LEDs like the
headlights while the other rear detail is a
new chrome strip on the boot tip. Flatter
and wider exhaust tips on the new A6
look nice too.
On the inside, there is a new power
retractable eight inch monitor and a new
navigation system. It is now based on a
new technology platform that uses the
fast Tegra 30 graphics chip from Audi's
partner Nvidia. The module also includes
a LTE port which will offer online
services to the user including support
from apps.
Powering the new A6 is a 2.0-litre 190
horsepower diesel engine mated to a
dual clutch automatic 7-speed gearbox.
